The New Age Poetry Renaissance

Some part of me have been grappling with, recreating an authentic poetry vibrancy on the internet. I have termed this 'New Age Poetry Renaissance' to capture its essence. Well, I have always been a firm believer of the globalization of poetry, using the internet as a veritable channel, even though for long, poetry has witnessed a sluggish movement( or growth) in keeping up with the pace of other art forms.
Though,there are a lot of online literary journal websites, that showcase multitudes of research analysis on the net, via downloadable  texts, but i have always understood that a better connection, will be between the poet(or group of poets) and reader(s) on a blog. The blogosphere is a viable means of boosting the profile of poetry online, than any other internet form.

Blogs, as a part of the internet, does not discriminate by occupation (some online journals are culprit in this regard), sex, race or beliefs. There is a liberty, as long as there is interest on the part of the reader. Though, very few blogs make the exception.

Today, poets can utilize the power of the internet, by cyber-engaging through blogs, and the usual inadequacies and inconveniences that prop up, are non existence. The internet is living up to its vision of connecting people, and poets are keying into it. The renaissance of the poetic  age is fast becoming a reality, as the internet is providing a cheap means of accessibility to lovers of poetry and also a new stage cum publicity for new poets.

The internet is like a large wall, filled with graffiti decoration, and poetry will be a powerful painting that would be distinctly different with a mystery, but each stare will create an amazing and liberating experience.
